Role: Data Scientist

Location: Newcastle

We’re looking for a data scientist to work on our chat and play communication app. You will take ownership of the data being used across the business to drive the strategy and day-to-day decisions across multiple stakeholders. The business currently has multiple sets of data using multiple access points along with software that requires real ownership. You’ll define and deliver an eloquent data analysis and reporting process to drive the business forward.

The ideal candidate will have a background in mathematics/statistics, experience in a quantitative or technical field, experience working with multiple data sets, and some experience in data-driven decision making. You are focused on results, a self-starter, and have demonstrated success in using analytics to drive the understanding, growth, and success of a product.

Responsibilities

  • Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand how our users interact with both our consumer and business products
  • Partner with product and engineering teams, marketing and acquisition group, and finance team to solve problems, identify trends and opportunities and deliver key reports and insights in a timely fashion
  • Inform, influence, support, and execute our product decisions and product launches

You’ll work across the following four key areas:

  1. Product operations:
    • Monitoring key product metrics, understanding root causes of changes in metrics

Role: Server Software Engineer

Responsibilities, Project Manager duties

  • Lead the operational planning and execution of the client development team in Palringo, working with the team to ensure project planning goals are structured & progress is reported internally, escalating issues as required
  • Manage the development process from concept through prototyping, development & release to live operation, ensuring the right team members are assigned & motivated
  • Manage approvals & sign off process with external stakeholders, ensuring timely production of in-game & documented materials in order to achieve this

Required skills and experience
