iOS Developer

The role will be development of existing new features and improving the stability of the iOS client. Your role will encompass the entire software de-velopment life-cycle, including requirements capture, prototyping, design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance.

Required skills and experience:

  • Have a strong background in Objective-C and Swift
  • In depth knowledge of iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc
  • Be passionate about making beautiful iOS apps that are simple and easy to use
  • Be confident in your abilities to shape a platform with a huge user base
  • Have an understanding of the intricacies of iOS and its human interface guidelines
  • The ability to communicate technical concepts
  • Be self-motivated with strong organisational skills
  • Think like a team member, not a code-monkey

Optional skills and experience:

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and using issue tracking software such as JIRA
  • Familiarity with Code Review process
  • Familiarity with writing and maintaining technical documentation
  • Familiarity with unit testing and TDD as well as automated testing

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a team to design and build new features for our iOS app
  • Help maintain code quality, organisation and stability
  • Improve the performance and responsiveness by refactoring older code
  • Work closely with designers to create a beautiful app
  • Work closely with external beta testers, to gather feedback and insight

Senior Server Software Engineer

The role includes support, maintenance and monitoring of the service. There will be plenty of opportunities to research and develop solutions using new technologies, languages and design patterns.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing great new features using microservice design
  • Working as an integral part of our core team
  • Converting legacy components into modern microservices
  • Maintaining, monitoring, and alert management of our existing services
  • Out of hours support
  • Participating in agile workflow

Required skills and experience:

  • NodeJS and NPM
  • Java or similar Object Oriented programming language
  • Relational Database experience (MySQL preferred)
  • Experience with networking and high traffic systems
  • Experience with cache frameworks (Redis preferred)
  • Experience with Linux (Ubuntu, Red Hat, or CentOS preferred)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong problem investigation and diagnosis skills
  • Experience with version control (GIT preferred)

Optional skills and experience:

  • 4 years or more commercial development
  • AWS experience/certification
  • Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Experience with Message queues (RabbitMQ/SNS preferred)
  • Containers (Docker), Virtualisation and DevOps experience
  • No-SQL Database experience (DynamoDB, MongoDB preferred)
