Premium accounts, Blackberry, Symbian and iPhone updates all launch

With Summer quickly approaching, the Palringo team have been putting the finishing touches to the latest round of updates to make Palringo even more useful, enjoyable, and reliable.

We havent mentioned everything, but some of the key changes this month are listed, - if you would like to know all the very latest news, please follow @palringo on Twitter.

We've been working hard to bring Premium functionality to all our platforms so that everyone can enjoy the benefits and extra features that have been available to iPhone users for a while now.

Premium accounts unlock all the latest Palringo features no matter which device you use. Options will vary slightly from platform to platform, but a Premium account currently enables: avatars for contacts and groups, bridge message history for third party services and themes. Premium account holders will also not see in-client advertising.

We are really excited about the latest update to the Palringo Blackberry client. Version 2.0 adds support for Blackberry OS 5.0, touch screen support and a much sleeker, redesigned interface that we have been getting excellent feedback about.

2010 has seen some really cool new Android devices launch, and we are redoubling our efforts to provide an awesome Palringo Android client. Our newly expanded Android dev team are currently aiming to launch a public release this Summer.

For those of you who can't wait, in a few weeks time we will start making Beta versions available. If you would like to know when we start releasing these Beta Android versions and would like to provide us some feedback then please follow @palringo on Twitter or send us an email.

We know our users dont just use Palringo on mobiles, and that many of you also use Palringo on your PC or Mac too, so we have refocused on the Mac client to get something awesome rolling out the doors soon.

The new version is being totally rebuilt and although its still in its early alpha stage, we should have an alpha release available soon, but until then rest assured that the Mac platform is still very important to us and we are hard at work developing something you are going to love.

The latest iPhone release is focused on bug fixes and on making it easier for people to upgrade their account from standard to premium - you can now buy a Premium account through Palringo and pay for it using iTunes.

This release also adds; three more themes (Two especially for the Premium client), countless interface enhancements, bug fixes, and it reduces the Application size too.
