Why does the website usually report me as being from the UK (incorrect) and rarely as from the US (correct)?

How dare you insult me like that!  ;)

Same. I'm from Singapore, not the UK! What's going on?!

It uses a Geo-IP system to work out your likely location, its not 100% but the language is easily changed from the footer.  Also if a link contains /en/gb/ then it will show the UK site.

It shouldnt make much difference though, the site works for everyone.

I can change the language in the footer but it just changes back to the UK as soon as I leave that screen... why?

Canadian is what I want.

It looks like some change was made a few months ago where all links send you to the "gb" locale.  A bunch of other locales are broken, as well.  I saw this in https://www.palringo.com/en/au/forum/support/website/editing-posts-broken-t4443

Hi,

A fix for this is going live very soon, but don't worry the country in the header doesnt make a difference to Users in; Canada, Nigeria or India as those countries all default to English anyway.  You will see the exact same website, content and features that you will when this fix is live.
