Hello,
I was successfully able to log into my gmail service. But I was not able to log into my yahoo messenger. It showed "logging in" and then after a second, it showed status as "offline".

any suggestions on whats going wrong ?

Hi Pandya,

Have you managed to add your Yahoo sevice to Palringo without any problems?

Does this error occur when you click on your added "Yahoo" service on the Palringo homescreen and select "online"?

Hello Admin,
I was successfully able to add yahoo service. It is after adding yahoo service, I type my yahoo email address [email]xxx@yahoo.com[/email] and password and it fails. However, with same yahoo id and password i was able to sign in using yahoo messenger on PC. I tried a couple of other yahoo ids too... but no luck.

Hello Administrator,

I face the same problem as Milan. I recently bought a Nokia E71 and installed Palringo on the same. It works fine with MSN, Google Talk and I was also able to successfully add Yahoo Messenger Service, but when I try to log in, it gives me the same message - First LOGGING IN.. and then OFFLINE

the solution is...
suppose i have yahoo account as [email]abc@yahoo.com[/email]

you will need to sign in as

abc
****

in the sign in part in palringo.

it works !

Thank you pandya, that's got it working.
Now I'm looking forward to putting palringo through it's paces, which will be so much more useful now than I can connect to my regular IM account.

i have recently encountered this same problem. yahoo messenger service has worked on my palringo for a long time now until recently it has stopped working. it will show "logging in" then eventually it will go "offline"... i have tried to remove the yahoo service then re-add it again but after it has been successfully added it still cannot login. i even went as far as removing the palringo application and re-installing it again but still no luck.

palringo support, help please...

MeLVeRnZ - There was a period of unexpected downtime for some of your additional services (Yahoo, Gtalk, etc.) over the weekend but they are back up and running now.

ive got the nokia n97 and I have a problem with msn messenger on palringo!! it says logging in and then says offline!!

Please check your login and password. I've tested it with our test account and it worked for me. Just remove the service and add it again.

Yes...removing @yahoo from your username makes it work! Now I'm super stoked with palringo!

I was able to log in to YM

what i did was,

I added the service.. then i tried to log in. (1st attempt not successful)

then i added the YM service again without removing the 1st one and i was able to log in..

If it still doesnt work then try to log in without the verbiage "@yahoo.com".. just your username

hello support team,

i have a similar problem. i have added the yahoo service. when i try logging in the service it says that connecting and then suddenly goes offline.

however when i add the msn messenger with a different id it works.

i am using the same email id for logging in palringo and yahoo messenger. please let me know if that is ok.

Have you tried to uninstall and readd the program to see if the new connection helps.
