As i have talked earlier is there any solution to my problem?

Am not able to connect to palringo since 2 months, everything is working fine except the palringo msngr.

Am able to access palringo on my laptop everywhere except at my home on the same laptop...

My ISP says its due to security reasons that you are unable to connect.

I dont think its a genuine reason........

I planned to change my ISP but its not possible for me to change, all i need to do is to have some solution to my problem which only the palringo team can do it....PLZ

I'm afraid that we will be unable to work around this issue with your ISP.

I have the same problem, i can log in on my Iphone but not through Windows XP Pro SP3.

What firewall ports are needed to run this app?

I tried the faq opened the ports still the same and I have UPNP enabled

Even putting my PC into a DMZ it will not connect :(

For tech-support:

At home I tried direct connection while at work I tried connection through HTTPS proxy. When using proxy Palringo IM tries to connect to primary.palringo.com on port 8080 but this port refuses connections.

For those who are still having issues, the problem has been narrowed down to an error inside the Windows socket layer.  We're waiting for more detailed feedback from an alpha tester which will help us establish a work-around for tis.

One user has reported this way of fixing it after we have found that their network does something weird with port 8080.

In the Windows registry, find this key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Parlingo\Settings

It contains a string subkey called "Connection/Servers/List"

Try setting this to one of the following values:

"primary.palringo.com:443"

or

"primary.palringo.com:38535"

My Key was set to "primary.palringo.com:8080,primary.palringo.com:38535,primary.palringo.com:443"

I have now changed it to "primary.palringo.com:38535,primary.palringo.com:443"

And Pal works with no problems, excellent workaround/Fix

I'm having this issue as well.  I've changed all the registry settings that were suggested, but no deal :(  This is on my laptop running Windows 7 using WiFi.

If you have the latest version there is no need to play with any of the registry settings anymore.  I would expect that your network is firewalled in some way that prevents access via our standard ports (443, 38535, 8080).  If you ensure that any firewall programs are disabled temporarily to check this, or if that doens't fix it - have a word with your network administrator.

I just downloaded the latest version and continuously get "Reconnect Pending - No Messages". We do not have any firewall restrictions on outgoing ports. When I try and use a local proxy to route through another ISP, it connects sometimes but every once and a while I get a 403 Forbidden.

I tried changing some of the reg settings but the program always resets it.

Does Palringo encrypt all of the traffic when using any of those ports? I'm wondering if my firewall is denying any encrypted traffic that's not on 443.

Is there any other ports?  I keep getting the Reconnect Pending Loop even thru two diff proxies on my Verizon Touch Pro2.

I should mention that the registry settings should only be changed when the program isn't running..... otherwise it won't pick up the changes and it'll just write defaults back over the top of your changes on exit.
