palringo displays me as online, even when disconnected

hey i have a problem using palringo:

sometimes, when i diconnect palringo, my friends still see my msn status as online. this happens very often, espacially when i lose my internet connection or my computer goes into standby and i dont disconnect palringo manually. but only msn, not icq. is this a common problem? how long should it take until the palringo servers notice that i am not online anymore and sets my msn / icq status to offline?

how does it work anyways? do i have to set every account (icq, msn, etc) offline manually or is it enough if i disconnect palringo?


when are you planing to include the feature of a history to save chat conversations??

Try the latest beta version here, to see if that helps.


Saving bridge history is going to be avaliable on the premium version for windows and there will be more information about it soon.

The server team accidentally set the timeout for disconnection to 2 hours instead of 5 minutes - this is why you were still showing as online even after disconnecting.  This should have been fixed now.

It is simple, I understood this engine, you connect to msn trough palringo server, so, you logout only palringo server, but the server keeps you logged in.

You have to set invisible or offline to hid from your contacts, it happens with every palringo users.

All services will turn offline after roughly a 5 minute timeout.
