Not experiencing this with the other services but with Facebook Palringo continually disconnects or receives errors after being connect for a short period of time saying Chat services are currently unavailable. I then have to relog onto the service.

Not sure if this is a palring problem or a facebook issue.

Recently, the error "could not retrieve buddy list" shows up persistently (for the last half day or day at least), when trying to log onto Facebook.

P.S. can we have a support section based on chat service as well as the phone types? Some chat service issues appear to be common to all devices.

We are having some issues with the Facebook bridge at the moment and are working on getting them solved quickly.

The problems I am having are are my nokia n95-nam and on my htc tilt using windows mobile 6.1

Thanks for the information. We think it is a problem with facebook itself so hopefully should be fixed soon.

This issue began after a FB chat downtime where maintenance was being done on the official FB site. Trillian astra is also having he same issue. Evidently, it is some new security protocol from the FB team.

For information, I have the same problem :

- with Palringo on my Windows CE HTC Touch Diamond

- with Pidgin on my Windows XP notebook

Mine will only sign in for a second and then go offline...pls fix asap....was so used to not having to open a browser each time I wanted to go on FB!!

yeah for real, for at least the past week i have been having trouble signing on to facebook, and for the past 2 days i haven't been able to sign on at all.........it would be really great if you guys could fix this soon.....I LOVE USING PALRINGO and i'd really hate to have to go back to lugging my computer around...

Happening here, too, with LG Insite WinMobile 6.1 PRO...and I'd like to have it working, too...

...but...I work in commercial software, and find it funny that users of FREEWARE / OPENSOURCE software find themselves "...up shit creak.." when "free" stuff stops working...even after the author/publisher confirms the incident and says s/he/they're working on it...

lol.

If given a choice I would rather use e buddy.it support not just only msn but it also support facebook and other chatroom as well.the most important thing is,it is free!Soon they are gona launch landscape typing.

We are aware of the issues with facebook and are working on getting it fixed quickly. We do think facebook has changed some protocols on its site and we need to update Palringo itself to match them.

If you get a captcha error, can you try logging into the Facebook website itself directly and let us know if you needed to validate your accounts or anything similar? Thanks.
