Connection attempt throttled issue with AIM...

I don't know if this is a known issue or not, but it sometimes takes multiple tries to get AIM to login most of the time. Sometimes it will hang on the 'logging in' screen, but mostly I get "connection attempt throttled". Is this a known issue that will be fixed in a later release?

This is a known issue and can affect services other than AIM too. Basically the AIM servers only allow a certain number of accounts to log in from one connection over a set period of time. We balance users over a number of connections to prevent this but recently have been getting close to the current limit. To solve this we will be increasing the number of connections our servers support in the near future.

I like Palringo very much for mobile IM, but I'm mostly trying to message AIM contacts. Until this is resolved, the service is essentially useless to me.

We are looking to resolve this as soon as possible and are hoping to make the necessary upgrades this week.

On the AIM service? If so we will look into it.

I am having the same problem as I type this...

During a chat, suddenly my voice message did not send properly. Closing down palringo on my htc touch pro did not help, since it would not logon again.

The popup button says 'try again in 2 minutes'.

This is the log on to palringo itself

Rene  - you must have been throttled by our server. This can happen if you send too many messages in a set time period. If you weren't sending a lot of messages then this is likely a bug with the throttling mechanism.

I can't connect to AIM and the error message I get is throttled.  This happens to me regardless when I first turn Palringo on in the morning before I have even sent any messages.  It has been happening for over a week now.  Any suggestions?

Try resetting the client by uninstalling and readding the program to see if that helps the problem?

I uninstalled palringo then downloaded and installed v2. i get "connection attempt throttled" everytime i try to connect to aim. i feel as if i've been permabanned, because i used to just get this intermittently.

I'm getting it today also, almost immediately and I've tried reconnecting constantly for the past hour with no luck.

Will Palringo look into this issue with aim as well as facebook and come up with a solution soon?

I've been dealing with this issue for the past couple of days, un-installed and re-installed the applications and I'm still dealing with this.

I had been using the lite version of the program and had no problem and now that I went and upgraded I've been dealing with issues.

I'm still getting this problem quite often.  It's extremely frustrating because Palringo doesn't alert you when you get disconnected from a service, so when I look at my phone, see I'm disconnected and cannot reconnect, I want to punch someone in the face.

Palringo devs, please help me to not want to punch someone in the face.  :)
