changing buddy ICON?

The new version which should be released by next week allows you to see you avatar and other contacts avatars on the devie.

Soo...what ever happened to this? I see all the iPhone users with nice pictures of themselves as avatars, but I see no such option in the latest version on both Windows and Windows Mobile.

The latest windows versions do support this now, do you have the latest version? Try downloading from here.

I just updated to the latest beta as of 10/14/2009 at 7:10pm MST, and I can't find any such option. Could you tell me where I should be looking?

Settings->Display->Show avatars

Make sure that option is enabled.

I can see other people's avatars just fine, that wasn't the question. I wish to change my OWN avatar.

You can change you avatar on the Palringo website in the 'My Account' section.

I did change my avator on website. But when logging in from iphone, it still displays Palringo icon :(

I did the avatar change on the website but in Windows desktop and the windows mobile version it doesn`t show up!

And some of my contact list avatars show up half blury, like a very low resolution picture with many pixels on it, some don`t even load!

Avatar changes may not always be instantaneous, but at the very least restart the application after a change and give it a bit of time to make an Avatar request, if it doesnt work after a reasonable period of time then let us know - but as far as I am aware its working correctly and has been for several months...

Also square images will be resized better than a landscape image will if it looks heavily pixelated.

Sorry Staffs, but you are changing the thread, he didnt ask about SHOW AVATARS(FROM OTHER PEOPLE), and neither about changing avatar on the website, because I saw that it doesnt have any relation with your own messenger, I have uptated my website avatar by about 4 weeks, and it is that "P" Palringo Logo, Every Palringo's user have it.

Not good, because you know he is asking about CHANGE AVATAR, change display picture on messenger/other services, and you talk about another things, and dont answer his question.

So, I wil answer, YOU CANT CHANGE IT!!! very bad thing, everybody that see you, know you are on the phone, using palringo, and not in home.

All users can change their avatar on the Palringo service and premium users will shortly be able to change their avatar on other services as well.

On my  MSN  the others peoples doesn't see my picture too, only picture of PALRINGO, I changed in my profile ( site PALRINGO - Avatar)  the picture but didn't change to my contacts ... 

I liked Palringo, so GOOD, only this is the problem ... :(
