I added couple of accounts in the account management window. Unfortunately, one of the accounts had the wrong password. Now I am attempting to correct the password. When I go back into the account management window, There is now edit button. Also, the "-" sign on the bottom is grayed out so I cannot delete the account and start over. Am I missing something?

I am not seeing what you are describing. When the account manage window is open, I have a list of accounts, and all I can do is ad another account. No ability to edit, or delete. !!!

To delete an account, just select it, and hit '-'

That's why I started the thread in the first place. When I chose the account with the wrong password, only the "+" is selectable. The "-" is NOT. Unfortunately, that's the account I want to delete.

What I have noticed, at least on my machine (Mac Pro, OS X 10.5.4) is that if you select the first (or only) account, the "-" button will not appear. However, if you have multiple accounts, and select accounts two and up, the "-" button will appear.

Admins, can you reproduce?

Thanks,
Orren

On my MAC even with multiple accounts, the "-" is grayed out on the first account.
I can solve the issue easily by deleting the account I want on the iPhone. But I think it should be easily doable here.

Agreed, this is a recent bug that we have found and are now working on - the first item in the list is supposed to be your Palringo account (which you cannot delete), but these have stopped showing in the "Manage accounts" screen, and under the "P" tab in the last OSX update. Watch this space...
your Palringo account (which you cannot delete)
Why not?

I created the account. I absolutely should be able to delete the account.

I don't like services that collect information about me, my friends, my message history to them, and provide no means for me to purge that information.

Please enable the option to delete the Palringo account, and all information gathered through that account.

Shortly you will be able to delete your account from our website.

There seem to be a couple of bugs here; the first is that we are unable to update the palringo login details for an existing account, and second, we are then unable to delete the non-functioning account if it is the first or only account in the list.

The first bug is apparent both in the OSX and iPhone versions of palringo, but the second is only in the OSX version. A work-around for it -- if you have an iPhone -- is to delete the rogue account from the iPhone app, which, of course, will also delete it in the OSX version.

What do mean you don't have an iPhone! Wink

In support, I see that it is easy to delete an account. If you have an iphone just swipe your thumb over the account you wish to delete and the red 'Delete' button will appear. If you actually highlight the account and press the rightward arrow you have gone too far.
