Problem is technical to be honest. Palringo on OSX shares some code with the iPhone version and entire chunks of Palringo were written in Objective-C 2.0. Which is not supported on Tiger, but only on Leopard and the soon to be released Snow Leopard unfortunately...

We might still consider Tiger but we haven't had enough requests to justify back-porting, especially since Snow Leopard is coming out soon.

Tiger version would be nice Laughing

How many requests are you away from deciding to do the port?

We still don't think it's worth the time and effort spent porting it at the minute - at least not until we have a version 1.0; by the time Palringo goes out of Alpha every Mac user will have updated to either Leopard or Snow Leopard *shrugs*.

If there's time and enough demand, we'll consider it.

No hard rule however, so far only a dozen people have requested a Tiger back-port, which is obviously not enough.

I'd like tiger support too! :D Thanks guys, btw, for making an absolutely FANTASTIC iPhone app, and especially for making it free! You're awesome.

With Snow Leopard just around the corner I'm afraid that a Tiger port is looking extremely unlikely. We just can't spare the resources - sorry.

Tiger doesnt share the same codebase as either Leopard or Snow Leopard and now that Tiger is a few years old and the demand is minimal for a Tiger version its not going to happen.

Sadly numerous requests from the same person dont count as demand ;) Sorry.
