Avaters/icons

It has been discussed and from what the team have said it will be released when a new and improved version of Palringo is ready and polished.

I personally would like to see the pictures handled similar to facebook where the top corner would display a small picture of the contact and you couldn't see your own while messaging. With a Pictures option in the settings section of Palringo which would allow you to select a picture from your iPhone and also allow you to disable Display Picutres.

With group chats, I'd like to see no icons for anyone since they wouldn't be needed in such conferance settings.

I suppose the best answer is "When it's ready".

This is already installed on the latest iPhone version. You can see contacts avatars in the contacts tab and can add your own on the Palringo website in the 'My Account' section.

In the 'My Account' section there should be a box titled avatar, if you click the borwse button you can select a picture to add as your picture.

HI I just downloaded the full pal, and i dont have anything that shows avator??? I have a pretty big chat group on there and we have been having major problems with Lag. and getting booted of... specially when using voice or pics....any advise?? I am on the Iphone GS,

i would like to see icons avaters working for our own MSN or chat programs like other apps,  i am permium user of palringo and think we should be able to change our pic from the "black P" on the live app on your iphone app.

you say "can add your own on the Palringo website in the 'My Account' section. " I have done this but its not updating to the live app on my phone so i still have the "black P".. 

also as a paying user, when we update our status in MSN, we get a [via palringo] .. we are paying for the service do we have to advetise it too? 

palringo premium is not showing buddy icons/avatars in contact list or chat or user details...

i bought this app mainly cos i wanted avatars in the contacts! (ebuddy doesnt have it in the contact list, and nimbuzz isnt as polished).

i was on palringo light, and have tried deleting and readding my accounts

where are you avatars??

yeah, avaters are still not showing on the lastest app release for preium users.  i have followed the admins instrustions..

but this only updates my picture for the forums, not my iphone app for MSN... come on admins please help us paying users and let us have our own picture instead of the black P ... :)

You need to be logged into the Palringo website on a Internet browser on a PC to see the avatar option. It will not show if you log in on the iPhone itself.

We are going to be adding an in client avatar option soon though. Thanks.

Some peole in the groups I belong to have custom Avatars/icons that I can see on the iPhone. Whay is mine not showing up in the member list for the group? Example - trademark(tm).

Just updated my avatar, why won't it show up on my ipod?

What version of Palringo are you using, Premium or Lite? Avatars are not included in the lite version they are an additional feature in the premium.

It is Premium and I had a pic up but wanted to change it.  It is showing up on this website with the new picture but not on my ipod.  It still has my old picture.  Even when I delete the avatar it is not delete the pic on my ipod.
