Why do I get Yahoo Error 1013 when trying to sign into Yahoo! Messenger?

Error 1013 is an error with the Yahoo username. For Yahoo you only need to enter the identifier before the @yahoo.com as the username. For example if your e-mail address is example@yahoo.com then the username will simply be example.
