Can Palringo run in the background? (iPhone)

iPhone or iPod Touch applications can't run in the background, however, if you press the home button or if the phone goes into standby Palringo will close but you can remain connected on our server for several hours. To enable this and to set what status you would like to change to see More -> State when leaving Palringo.

Apple's Push Notification Service is used to help Palringo run in the background. To enable notifications for a particular service tap that service from the P tab, select the Alerts tab and set Push Notifications to On.

Be aware if you have Push notifications enabled then you will not get email notifications. Email notifications will be sent to the email address you use to sign into Palringo and NOT the email address of any additional IM service.
